The Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations (TDGR) is a federal legislation enacted to promote public safety. These regulations require shippers, carriers and handlers to meet specific standards when preparing or transporting dangerous goods.
Any person handling, offering for transport or transporting dangerous goods must receive appropriate training (specific to the mode of transport used). This training must be updated every 24 months for air transport and 36 months for surface transport.
